HPB Roseville

The prices can't be beaten, especially if you're used to Barns and Noble or Amazon buys. They have a great selection, including books in foreign languages. I've gotten several books I needed for class (philosophy, mostly) here at a fraction of the price. They also have DVDs and CDs. The staff are really helpful and it's organized so things are easy to find.

This isn't a review about my experience with HPB's customer service, rather something I witnessed while visiting their store this past weekend. While shopping I overheard directly behind me an older individual giving one of the staff a rather hard time while searching for a book. This customer was searching for a very specific used book that was not in stock, the staff very politely explained that this book was not in stock as they don't have direct control over what they have in their used inventory (Duh). The customer continued to give this staff a hard time, and the staff only gave back lots of patience and understanding. Unfortunately, I later found myself in line behind this same customer while waiting to check out. When it was their turn to check out they went up to a different sales person and complained that the original sales person was rude (or something along those lines as I was trying to mind my business). The new staff was also very patient and took the time to try and understand the concerns presented to them. I am impressed with the staff for not giving into the negativity and focused on solving the issues at hand. I will shop here again knowing that I can count on good costumer service, and knowing that HPB's staff don't have a softcover spine but a real hardcover backbone (bad pun)

A large selection of blu-rays and dvds - very organized and easily accessible. Plus, very reasonable priced! And their book selection is enormous! I found exactly what I was looking for (and then some!), the staff were very friendly, and the store was very clean. Fantastic!

I love Half Price Books, and the ones in the Twins Cities are the best. The selection is amazing, and the staff is always helpful and friendly. The one is Roseville is particularly nice with a super great staff.
