This is the dark side of American history exposed through the voices of the under- and non-privileged people who lived through it. Prepare to go flip through your old high school history book to see just how much was glossed over or left out entirely from the arrival of Europeans in the Americas to the 2000 election. Not for the faint of heart but necessary for those desiring a balanced, unflinching look at the role that greed, wealth, and violence have played in the formation of our national character.
