This manga adaption of Sakurazaka's novel, which later served as inspiration for the sci-fi movie, Edge of Tomorrow, is nothing short of beautiful. The artist is Takeshi Obata, who is best known for his illustrations in the hit manga series, Death Note. The story itself leaves you feeling like there could have been more said, or expanded on, but the translation from novel to manga often needs to be shortened due to the limitations of the panel by panel style. The art is initially what drew me to this manga. Dark and detailed, the illustrations give a gritty reality and grounding that is juxtaposed by the limitless looping and twisting of the story. This manga is a must read!
