    Beautiful Bastard is what I like to call smut...or shall I say, S.M.U.T. a 'Satisfying Mature Unwind of Time'! I thought it was a beautifully written tale about a gorgeous, sexy, smart, and hardworking woman named Chloe interning at a media empire to earn her MBA. Her boss, who she nicknames, 'Beautiful Bastard', is tough with her and a bit mean, and she can't quite figure out why........but boy, if he isn't gorgeous! Bennett has come home to run a division in his family's empire, and he is a little disturbed about his VERY intense attraction to his assistant/intern, and it causes him to act a bit abrupt with her until everything comes to a head on one late night in the boardroom....just the two of them. Needless to say, Bennett and Chloe started a slow-burning explosion that night, not understanding how the passion they have for one another can coincide with the utmost hate they can't seem to shake at the office. Christina Lauren, the author, is actually two people- Christina and Lauren, who together have created a story and a world of sexual tension, anticipation, love, and friendship, and I love that the heroine is a woman who knows who she is and can handle a man like Bennett Ryan. So...if you like S.M.U.T., check out Beautiful Bastard, the first book in the 'Beautiful' series. You won't regret it!
