If you enjoy linguistics, this is a really interesting read. The author writes in an informal and easy-to-read style, even given the data and studies she references. It includes history of how technology was introduced and even looks at the social impacts the internet has had on language. One of my favorite quotes from the book was "Language is humanity's most spectacular open source project." #summerreading
