Bonk is the untold tale of sex research in science. Mary Roach delves into the history of sex research, from the Dickinson in the 1890s all the way up to the present, interviewing researchers working today. The book itself is funny and engaging, exploring what the known-and-unknown about how sex works, why sex works, and what is being done in science today to make it keep working. She explores the stigma of sex research and why it took so long to understand the basics.
