This book is basically a modern guide to self-care (actual self-care, not the stuff people pretend is self-care). As with any self-help book, I think it’s going to be great for some, and others would write it off as woo-woo. But, I loved this book! Tara puts her suggestions for fixing your life inside things that she’s experienced, so you get to see how the ritual helped her. Of course, not every single thing is going to be relatable or helpful for you, but I marked up so many things in the book to refer back to. There are several things from the book I've already added into my daily routine. I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to add more self-care to their daily life. #SpringPicks
This book was relatable, funny & made me feel like I wasn’t the only one struggling. Love this book, it truly helped me change my mindset and made me want to work on myself!
I really enjoyed the tone and style of this book. The point of the book is make changes in one’s life to have a more enjoyable life. Tara calls out readers when they need to be and this is acceptable because she has a deep understanding on why certain behaviours must be fixed. I read during the first week of quarantine and it helped pull me out of my pit of despair. Truly a wonderful read for young adults who are trying to figure themselves out.
