  • A modern classic of a short novel

    Brett R. - 8 years ago

If you only know Cormac McCarthy from reading his Border Trilogy or watching The Road, you're missing out. This little gem is one of his earlier Southern Gothic-type novels. You follow along on the adventures? Crime spree? Descent into madness? Of an outcast called Lester. In a rural, mountainous area where kinship ties are everything, he has none and suffers for it. It's not a good story; it's not a happy story, and this little paragraph cannot do it justice, but it's a story great and dark. Pick up a copy and give it a go.
