    Fans of Chuck Palahniuk are used to getting some shocks with their read. Choke is no exception. Victor Mancini is a con artist who uses the kindness of others to make ends meet. In his spare time he is trying to keep his job at a Colonial-era theme park, "recover" from his sex addiction, and keep tabs on his ailing mother, who believes he is the second coming of Jesus Christ. In typical Palahniuk fashion, nothing is ever as it seems, and the end is only just the beginning.
