  • Emotional Mother/Daughter Memoir

    This memoir was exceptional in how familiar the struggles of the author and her family were, as well as their hopes and fears. The relationship between Michelle Zauner and her mother at times had me smiling, and other times sobbing along with them. It's also a fascinating look into coming to terms with racial identity, particularly through the lens of food and what it means to us. If you're looking for a deeply emotional, heartfelt story of a mother and daughter's journey back to one another after a turbulent childhood, I cannot recommend this memoir enough!
