This is my favorite drawing instruction book. It really looks at how the brain sees the world, I have practiced these exercises repeatedly on my own, and was led through them again when I got my art degree. Now I use it when I teach drawing to my students.
I believe this book is for any artist, no matter the level you think you are. Beginner or pro, you can always come back to this as a refresher. This book truly guides you in using your right side of your brain. Meaning you'll start noticing certain features in everyday things that you never thought about before. It'll get you practicing to draw realistically. I've owned this book for many years and still continue to review whenever I need. Even if you think you've mastered every lesson in the book, I recommend keeping this little treasure in your home library. And if you don't own it, this book definitely belongs in your library. This is a book with a lot of value capable of scientifically explaining how to mentally understand the difference between your realistic and artistic sides of your brain. Even if you don't consider yourself an artist, you can use these skills to boost your logical thinking. #SummerReading
