    My first introduction to this book was through the 2010 film staring Julia Roberts. I watched the movie with my mother and we really enjoyed it. After watching it I picked up the book to read what Elizabeth Gilbert's exact thoughts were on her journey. The two are pretty similar but with any film adaptation there were moments lost in the transition between mediums. That being said, I really enjoyed both and either way of absorbing Gilbert's story is great.
