  • A great start to an amazing series.

I am a simple girl, I see dragons on the cover of a book and I pick it up. Dragons are my absolute favorite part of a fantasy story. I adore them with my entire being. I love the dragons in this book. Saphira is one of my all-time favorite dragons. I love Eragon, though he can be very naive sometimes, but I think that's to be expected of a sixteen year old. I also really love how realistic this book is. In most fantasy, the main character is immediately good at everything and never gets hurt. In this book the characters actually have realistic times for learning things and actually get injures from stuff. I know that this seems like a very typical book with a lot of tropes and lots of inspiration from other media, but after this book the series really starts to make its own path. #SpringPicks

Eragon is absolutely my favorite book ever. I already had one copy, but I read it so much that I destroyed the copy and had to get a new one. It's always my go-to when I've had a bad day and need a pick me up. If you're looking for a well-written fantasy with relatable, human characters that make plenty of mistakes, and a wonderful story, look no further.
