Overview

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY IS NOW A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE
Now available as a three-volume paperback boxed set, E L James's New York Times #1 bestselling trilogy has been hailed by Entertainment Weekly as being "in a class by itself." Beginning with the GoodReads Choice Award Romance Finalist Fifty Shades of Grey, the Fifty Shades Trilogy will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever.

This boxed set includes the following novels:

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY: When college student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly Ana realizes she wants this man, and Grey admits he wants her, too--but on his own terms. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian's secrets and explores her own desires.

FIFTY SHADES DARKER: Daunted by Christian's dark secrets and singular tastes, Ana has broken off their relationship to start a new career. But desire for Christian still dominates her every waking thought. They rekindle their searing sensual affair, and while Christian wrestles with his inner demons, Ana is forced to make the most important decision of her life.

FIFTY SHADES FREED: Now, Ana and Christian have it all--love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of possibilities for their future. But Ana knows that loving her Fifty Shades will not be easy, and that being together will pose challenges that neither of them would anticipate. Just when it seems that their strength together will eclipse any obstacle, misfortune, malice, and fate conspire to turn Ana's deepest fears into reality.

This book is intended for mature audiences.

I love how Anna got Christian to come around and try more. Her fifty shades of f**ked up.

U.G.H. This trilogy is the epitome of hype and the failure to deliver. Sad, lethargic, overrated. It's like wanting to go to a gourmet ice cream shop and coming back with a pint of runny, thawed out vanilla soy ice cream when you want the passion of the picture that forms in your head of decadent delights. Underwhelming to say the least. Might be a good read if you are over 65 years old and married your middle school sweetheart, but not buying the bdsm angle at all. Dissatisfaction, disappointment, disengaged. Abort if you are looking for adventure. BTW, vanilla ice cream is three aisles down and to your left.

  • Well...

Where do we begin...as a woman of great attitude I must say I would never in my life have a man treat me with such disrespect, regardless of his circumstances. In that light, it cannot be denied that all deserve a chance at "love." Ideals of love come in all shapes and sizes, so no judgment there. Otherwise, if you are looking for quite the dark romance with a small squeeze of family matters in the end, these are your books. As well, if you're looking for books that express a questionably good time.

  • Let your #summerreading SIZZLE with this spicy hot series

    HPB S. - 5 years 10 months ago

I jumped on this train a little late... so I guess you can say I'm on the caboose with reading this series. To be honest, I expected something far more raunchy as all the "BUZZ" around it indicated. Yet, I did enjoy the storyline overall. It's a typical "naïve virgin" college girl love story turned "dark" as her relationship with a handsome, and very wealthy business owner reveals his kinky side. Would you sign an N.D.A. to have SEX with someone? If you are looking for some spice in your #summerreading list, sprinkle this into the mix... as it just very well might "turn you on".

  • Easy read, but not true to the lifestyle

    Gina Sue K. - 5 years 11 months ago

As someone who truly lives and participates in my local BDSM community, I can honestly say this is not really an accurate portrayal. However, it is a fun read and a good escape from reality. A “Cinderella” story of a poor common woman falling for the handsome and wealthy man and plenty of steamy sex made this an enjoyable read for me.
