  • Probably Geoff Johns’s best event story

    Shawn S. - 5 years 7 months ago

I am a big fan of Geoff Johns’s comic writing, especially his Green Lantern and Justice League runs. He has written many successful and influential events such as Blackest Night, Darkseid War, and The Lightning Saga however Forever Evil I believe to be his best. The story doesn’t focus on the heroes but instead the villains. The heroes are gone because a twisted version of the Justice League came in from another dimension and defeated them. It is now up to Lex Luthor to save the world. Johns really does a good job turning Luthor into a compelling character you want to root for. Lex sees himself as a hero and wants to take this opportunity to show others he is one. Along with Luthor, Captain Cold is another standout in this comic. Cold’s relationship with the Rogues is explored and he has a great moment at the end. All in all this is a fantastic read and definitely worth a shot. #RequiredReading
