The Key Trilogy by Nora Roberts is a three book series set in a small town in Pennsylvania. It revolves around three women, Zoe, Mallory and Dana, who are called upon to venture on a quest for three missing keys needed to unlock a special box. The box holds the souls of three demi-gods who have been trapped there. Each woman is given one moon cycle to find her key. In their quest, they each find love with men who become involved with the search. Each man has a different role to play with the woman they have chosen to be with. The three women also have to battle the evil dark god who imprisoned the demi-gods souls in the first place. They must each go through soul-searching, love, hope, despair and fear in order to reach their goal. They learn that many have tried over the centuries to find the keys and failed, and now it seems that time is running out...
