It was pretty true to life for some. Back in the late sixties-seventies, life was like this for some. Great book!

  • John Green's Best

    Mitchell D. - 4 years 11 months ago

I found about John Green in middle school and have read almost all his books, but this one is my favorite. The unique set up of the book and the interesting characters drew me in and now that I am in college, I'd like to re-read it. I can definitely see why this won an award! #SpringPicks

  • An All-Time Favorite

I first read this a couple of years ago after I picked it up in a library donation bin and while it did take me a while to get into at first, the story was really fast-paced and quickly became one of my favorites. It's heart wrenchingly sad, yet such an incredible book you can't help but keep coming back to it. I will say though, I've had a lot of people say that this book can be a bit heavy, so make sure you're in the right state of mind :) #SpringPicks

  • My favorite John Green book

    Jordan L. - 5 years 6 months ago

This is my top favorite John Green book. It's a great coming of age story and learning to find yourself. Each chapter gets closer and closer to something, but you aren't sure what it will be. That definitely made me not want to put the book down! #BannedBook
