  • A timeless classic with the most meaningful message

    Oh where do I start. My grandma ( who was like my second mom, who helped raise me when I was on my dads time) just passed away on Monday April 5th 2021. She always read me this book when I was little and always sang the " I'll love you forever, ill like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be". Now, my 36th birthday was two days after she passed...I was having a VERY rough morning that day knowing that I wouldn't get her yearly phone call with her singing me happy birthday. So when I got on Facebook the very FIRST thing that popped up was this book. I lost it right then and there... I knew it was her way of letting me know she was there. I made it my mission that day to find a copy of this for her to take with her in her "forever home"...which I found a new hardback copy that slid into a sleeve at HPB. I was able to get it for her, and write in the front cover my personal message of love and gratitude as she always did to my books when I was growing up. She now has a copy to keep with her forever and I am so thankful to HPB that I was able to fullfill this last final act of love for her. Thank you from the bottom of my heart...you'll never know how much it meant to both her and I. #SpringFling

    This is a touching story about a mother's love for her child. This mother reads to her son every day from birth throughout his life. As the mother ages, the tables turn, and the son holds the mother and reads the book to her. It is a wonderful story that will surely have you verklempt as you read it. #SummerReading
