  • A humorous classic good for a good laugh.

    Larissa D. - 10 months ago

My book club was reading this, and to be very honest, I was a little skeptical at first. Printed back in the late 1800s, I was worried it would be drawn-out and boring, but Jane Austen changed my mind immediately. Elizabeth Bennett thinks she can understand anyone's background and mannerisms just by meeting them once. Fitzwilliam Darcy is a socially awkward Duke that likes his small group of friends, and doesn't want anything to do with anyone else. Pride and Prejudice is the story of these two beautiful characters discovering that maybe they don't quite understand how the world works after all. I would seriously recommend this book to anyone who loves the classics and romance.

  • Classic, beautifully written

    Lillian G. - 4 years 11 months ago

This book is so beautiful written. Since it is a classic it is hard to understand. If you have only watched they movie you are missing so much. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has a higher vocabulary and that loves old time romances. #SpringPicks.

  • an entry point for classic lit

    Sophie R. - 4 years 11 months ago

This was the book that got me into classic literature. Do not go into this book with the expectation of it being too difficult and serious to understand. It's supposed to be funny! I would highly recommend reading it in an English accent... #SpringPicks

  • A walk back in time to how things use to be....

    Sarah H. - 5 years 6 months ago

If you love reading about other time periods this is a MUST read! Like walking back in time and getting a front seat to Society and how it was. A story about social classes Classing and the push back by a young woman. Little would she know her Boldness would be what makes the very person she despises fall in love with her. A book about how Love can Change a person. Amazing Book!

  • My most favorite book!

    Deborah W. - 5 years 7 months ago

Every time I read this book, I find something new or connections I have never noticed before! It is a great read for those trying to dive into classic literature. For romantics, it is the ultimate love story - love, love lost, unrequited love, love found, and love finally shared. For the feminist - Elizabeth stands up to her mother, against social norms and societal pressures. Her rebuff of Mr Collins, accusations at Mr Darcy, and reply to the threats flung by Lady Catherine de Bourgh should elicit at least one "You go, girl!". #RequiredReading
