    Charlie Manx has made Christmas his life's work. He takes joy in newly fallen snow, the laughter of celebrating children, and knowing when you've been bad or good. In fact, he's betting you've been bad, can feel it in his bones, and is working to make sure it doesn't ruin your child's life. Each year Manx selects a lucky child to whisk away to a special place called Christmasland where no parents are allowed and no one ever suffers. But what of those people left behind, unable to enter, but forever changed by Christmasland? Charlie Manx must watch for them as well but he is just a man and despite legend cannot be all times and places at once. Or can he? Vic McQueen likes to find lost objects and set things right. With the aid of a bridge that is nowhere and everywhere, she does just that. The bridge takes her to exactly where and when she needs to be. But magic is not without its costs and the toll is heavy on Vic's shoulders. As Vic grows from a small child to a woman so grow the complexities and secrets of her magic bridge-- a bridge just as special as Christmasland. Spanning decades and weaving a complex tapestry from multiple storylines and points of view, NOS4A2 is the very best of Joe Hill. Hill's characters exist beyond the pages they inhabit in a more complex world than readers initially realize. Elements of the supernatural are blended seamlessly with the reader's innate knowledge of right vs wrong and good vs evil in a way that lessens the need to suspend belief. Hill is a horror master twisting tales that are fresh and evocative. Dark and haunting, Hill's world invites readers in and holds them tight. NOS4A2 is not to be missed.

    Great, intense book. I like that it’s different than the show was. It tells the story in a slightly different way and is interesting not boring.

    Wonderfully written with just enough detail to put you into the zone without making it boring. This book was hard to put down as it had you holding your breath while leading you to the next chapter. I will be looking for other books from this author.

    NOS4A2 is an awesome read! I have been enjoying reading Joe Hill for awhile now and he does not disappoint. His characters are as relatable as they are terrifying. The creep factor is pretty high in this one and the protagonist Vic is a badass. I highly recommend this to any Stephen King or horror lover.
