if you are looking for a laugh out loud kind of book then this is the one for you. I laughed so loudly while reading this book that I had people looking at me all the time wondering what was so funny. I love Janet Evanovich as a writer and will continue on with the series.

  • One For The Money, by Janet Evanovich

Janet Evanovich is hilarious, the characters; Ramirez, Morelli, Ranger and Lula even though fictional aren't so far stretched that they could be real ! and Stephanie's cousin Vinnie is everybody's nightmare boss. I'm on book 9 in the series and they always entertain, a great distraction during a pandemic. A bounty hunter who regularly forgets her gun and handcuffs but always gets her man is laugh out loud funny !

  • Skip the book and the movie

I read this book for Reading Rivalry on Facebook (my prompt was “great book with a terrible movie) and ended up having to use a different book because I couldn’t say I found this to be a great book, so I used it instead for “cover has only words, no cover art” (applies only to certain editions). I found the characters to be either stereotypes or way over the top adjustments to try to avoid stereotypes, I didn’t find the plot engaging, the dialog was jarring, and the relationships between the characters was disappointing (strong independent female lead gets treated like dirt by the guy but still ends up with him in the end...we’ve seen this a million times, can we please get away from it). #requiredreading
