National parks are not Disneyland. Your safety--even your survival--is not assured. Most of the dangers are perfectly obvious. Warnings are given when you arrive at the park. Yet people find the most incredibly varied and frankly stupid ways of unintentionally killing themselves by climbing over those pesky safety fences and falling into the canyon, refusing to wear life jackets and drowning in the river, and thinking water is too heavy to carry when going for a hike in 100+ weather. Reading what happened to people who became horrible warnings for others may save you from becoming one of them.
