If you've ever wanted to slay dragons, find treasure, or narrate your life aloud, you've come to the right place. Pathfinder is a tabletop roleplaying game, which is a more daunting way of saying "rolling lots of dice while telling a story with your friends." Really what the game boils down to is crunching a few numbers while participating in a whole lot of improv. For players already familiar with roleplaying games but new to Pathfinder, the system is terrific. There are rules for just about any situation, and Paizo, the makers of Pathfinder are constantly churning out new options. There are more than a dozen adventures paths and countless supplements providing more crunch (mechanics) and fluff (flavor). Still, despite all the mentions of additional rules, Pathfinder remains in the middle of the sliding scale of simple and complex game mechanics, making it ideal for anyone willing to shell out a couple of hours to learn all the necessities. Pathfinder is limited only by one's imagination, but Paizo does a good deal to make sure that it helps as much as it can. The end result is a gem that avid gamers won't want to miss.
