    Susie, a young girl who was murdered, watches from heaven the aftermath of her death shaping the identity and futures of others over the years. Her murder causes ripples, stemming from her family out to her community, even affecting those she has never met. Every character is given a story, details about their lives and personalities, and unique ways in which Susie's death changed them. This is a story about family, love, growing older, alienation, and overcoming grief. I READ IT IN ONE DAY. I was most fascinated by the access we were given to the psyche of every character including the killer, Mr. Harvey. The story is seamless until we get to the ending, which I have to admit, was a little bit ridiculous. Overall, it was a worthwhile read. #RequiredReading
