DAY TWO: THE WISE MAN'S FEAR

"There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man."

My name is Kvothe. You may have heard of me.

So begins a tale told from his own point of view--a story unequaled in fantasy literature. Now in The Wise Man's Fear, Day Two of The Kingkiller Chronicle, Kvothe takes his first steps on the path of the hero and learns how difficult life can be when a man becomes a legend in his own time.

  • As good as the first one and extremely difficult to put down.

Patrick Rothfuss does it again with his second novel The Wise Man's Fear. Continuing from his first novel, The Name of the Wind, Rothfuss provides a daring adventure for our young Kvothe. It's the second day of Kvothe's story, and as he tells his tale, he strays from The University where he travels abroad meeting a new cast of interesting characters. Nothing stops Kvothe from being just as brash and over confident as the last time we heard of his adventures and Rothfuss adds even more depth to him. This book is just as good as the first one and is extremely difficult to put down.

  • My Fear is yet to come.

Praise Tehlu! Rothfuss did it again. There is so much in this book you cannot put this book down. HIghway bandits, evil mages, powerfully strong mercenaries, and the Fae!! The only downside to this book is knowing that there is only one left (that i know of)...hard to believe there is only one since there is still so much for Kvothe to do. i hope it's the size of the previous 2 books :)

  • Different tone from The Name of the Wind and is equally enjoyable!

Wonderful book; just as great as the first! Makes me even more impatient for the 3rd title to come out! Definitely recommend and definitely will re-read!
