Well, let's face it: animals have their own language. Richard Adams helps us not only learn, but also understand about Rabbit lore. This is an exciting adventure that has you sitting on the edge of your seat to see if Hazel and his friends are going to get through the obstacles encountered.
HPB Staff ReviewThis book has been one of my go to reads and recommendations for years. Im so dedicated to it my pet rabbit is named Hazel after the main character and I have a tattoo referncing the Black Rabbit of Inle. To me, this is a story of courage and determination, although it follows a quiet group of rabbits on their journey to a new home it can convey so much more.
HPB Staff ReviewI picked this as an optional summer reading book in high school because the movie is so infamously violent. I had good instincts about it early on and it was not a disappointment even for a school read. #SpringRead
The classical masterpiece of rabbit warfare. One day the intuitive and sensitive Fiver foresees dangerous events coming to destroy their peaceful warren, and the future seems very uncertain. What follows is a suspenseful and adventurous fantasy full of adversaries and friendships, with a climax that will leave a lot of readers in tears. The world is realistic and comes complete with its own believable mythology and language.
HPB Staff ReviewI loved it at 12 yrs old, reading it again at 25 it's even better.
