You go through life thinking there's so much you need. . . . Until you leave with only your phone, your wallet, and a picture of your mother. Marin hasn't spoken to anyone from her old life since the day she left everything behind. No one knows the truth about those final weeks. Not even her best friend Mabel. But even thousands of miles away from the California coast, at college in New York, Marin still feels the pull of the life and tragedy she's tried to outrun. Now, months later, alone in an emptied dorm for winter break, Marin waits. Mabel is coming to visit and Marin will be forced to face everything that's been left unsaid and finally confront the loneliness that has made a home in her heart.

  • Learn to be "okay" again with this 20-something student forced to face her past.

    Jesenia D. - 4 years 11 months ago

Marin left everything in California- clothes, furniture, feelings she could no longer handle- and ran away to a college on the other side of the country. But she could never shake Mabel. Mabel, who texted her daily for months, desperately trying to get Marin to say something, anything, in return. Mabel, who was coming to visit her for a week during winter break when everyone else had left campus to go be with the families they loved and were loved by. Follow Marin as she learns that she can only run for so long before the past finds her again- bringing with it her unresolved grief, the consequences of her rash decisions, and a first love that chased her all the way to New York.
