    With Becky Albertalli's comedic quirkiness in her words mixing with Adam Silvera's great talent, both created a heartwarming YA gay romance that is absolutely perfect for today's youth. The book stars two guys, Arthur and Ben. Arthur is all about the dramatics, has big dreams and believes in fate and the universe, Ben does not. he's much more straightforward and casual about everything. They meet at a post office in NYC and it's instant attraction for both, despite the fact that Ben was actually there to mail his ex a box of his belongings. Before they can exchange numbers or find out more about each other, they're separated. Determined to find each other, they set out on a mission, using sources like Craigslist and sleuthing on Instagram, and the authors showcase this aspect so well, its hilarious because the youth generation are SOOO guilty of this. They captured it perfectly. The book is so cute, and you fall in love with Arthur and Ben as their relationship develops, and as many of us can relate, its like Murphy's Law when it comes to dating nowadays...The story not only teaches readers about LOVE, but another huge aspect is friendship between them and their friends. new friends, old friends, rekindling, etc. it feels lie it has it all, and both authors do such a great job at making the story feel so relatable to just about anyone this day and age that reads it. And of course, just the fact that its a gay romance is great because like her movie "Love, Simon" it normalizes being different and helps make it feel like its ok and not a big deal, because it isn't. Love who you want to love, and be who you want to be!
