    YES! YES! If you are sensitive to topics based on "race" which is a social construct. YOU should NOT stay away from this book. This book does a great job of explaining the racial issues and the struggles of racial identity in America. It has impacted my life positively, it's helped me understand discussing topics like these are important. #Bannedbook

    If you know Dr. Tatum’s work, you know you’re in for another spectacular journey through racial history in the US and how it’s affected how racial identity is formed in the present day. An absolute MUST for anyone who works with people, ESPECIALLY STUDENTS, outside their own racial identity. Well-researched, beautifully written. Dr. TATUM offers a critical perspective on the way our ting people shape their racial identities, why it matters, and how you can be a positive part of the process. Please read.
