With Sue Grafton's passing, this will be the last book in the "alphabet series." Beloved character Kinsey Millhone once again sets out to solve a mystery. This one is quite engaging due to the fact that it goes back and forth in time. A young girl was kidnapped and murdered by her classmates ten years ago. Kinsey is hired to find out who is blackmailing one of the classmates. All the reoccurring supporting characters play a part in the story - as well as the evil psychopath introduced in the last book, X. Grafton's writing style - her grit, humor, and suspense - will be missed!
HPB Staff ReviewI have read almost all of Sue Grafton and enjoy her books
Reading this book was bittersweet. Being a fan of the Kinsey Millhone mysteries, I was really looking forward to "Z" being the final chapter in her life as a private investigator. Y is for Yesterday starts out intense and remains so throughout the book. Just when you think you know who the culprit is, you're thrown a curveball and left on the edge of your seat wondering who else it could have been.
