  • A book about cricket and much more

    This is a wonderful book with excellent writing, interesting events and strong opinions. Supposedly it is a book about cricket; actually it is a memoir, history book, political book, psychology book and more. James is such a good writer, anything he writes about is interesting but in this booka consensus top ten book just considered as sports writing, and a literary classiche finds a way to discuss cricket and have it mean much more than that. James grew up in Trinidad and lived and worked in England. His writings on Caribbean history are also considered to be among the best on the subject. In this book, he transcends sports and writes about life, human beings, race, politics and history.
